Lara Metcalf has deep experience using investment capital approaches to drive better outcomes for vulnerable populations. Lara is a Senior Managing Director of the Draper Richards Kaplan (DRK) Foundation and is a member of DRK’s Operating Committee. She works with the leadership of high-impact social enterprises as an operating partner as they build capacity and achieve their maximum impact. Lara previously played a leadership role in the Pay for Success field during her 5 years as the Managing Director of Social Finance, an innovative 501c3 social enterprise, where she led the creation of $80M+ in project finance impact investments while also playing CFO/COO roles. Since then, Lara has focused on early stage impact venture capital as a Managing Director of TSEF: The Social Entrepreneurs’ Fund; and as a Fellow and CFO/COO of The Engine at MIT. She was also previously CFO / CAO and Senior Associate Dean for Operations for Harvard's Kennedy School. Lara spent the first 18 years of her career on Wall Street at Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs, and Credit Suisse, where she was a Managing Director.
