Kristie Garza, PhD

Kristie Garza is the Director of Medical Affairs at Reboot Rx, where she leads the scientific communications strategy, develops educational content, and manages initiatives to ensure clear, evidence-based communication of research findings. Since joining Reboot Rx in 2024, she has combined deep scientific knowledge with strategic communication expertise to advance access to affordable cancer treatments.

Kristie led the development of the organization’s first drug-cancer pair website, a key initiative that translates complex clinical and mechanistic evidence into accessible educational content for clinicians and researchers. Her work integrates scientific insight with communication strategy to advance awareness of promising repurposed drug opportunities in oncology.

Prior to Reboot Rx, Kristie worked as a Senior Medical Writer, focusing primarily on oncology and collaborating with pharmaceutical companies on medical affairs, commercial, and publication initiatives. She holds a PhD in Neuroscience from Emory University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. Driven by a passion for learning and communicating science across diverse audiences, Kristie applies scientific rigor and collaboration to help translate research into meaningful clinical impact.
