Sherif Botros, PhD, MBA

Sherif Botros is the Vice President of Data Science at Reboot Rx, where he leads the development of AI-powered technologies to accelerate drug repurposing for cancer. Since joining Reboot Rx in 2023, he has driven innovation in AI-assisted drug discovery, leveraging large language models and advanced machine learning to improve accuracy, automation, and scientific validation across the research process.

Sherif has guided the data science strategy at Reboot Rx and built scalable, transparent systems that enable researchers and clinicians to identify effective, affordable treatments more efficiently. His work helps reduce barriers to cancer treatments and expand access for patients worldwide.

Prior to Reboot Rx, Sherif held senior leadership roles at Reliance Health, Wells Fargo, Gainsight, and SAP Labs. He holds a PhD in Computational Neuroscience from MIT, an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. Sherif is motivated by a clear goal: to use AI to expand healthcare access and improve outcomes for underserved communities.
